The sound of harps in the medieval village

In 8 days

Short facts

The medieval model village Steinrode, Kohlenstraße 101, 34346 Hann. Münden, opens its doors again on Sunday, May 18, from 11 am to 5 pm for spontaneous visitors. We ask for three euros "road toll" from people aged 18 and over, children and young people are free. To quench hunger and thirst, there will be a barbecue, coffee and cake at moderate prices, and drinks. A guided tour with information about Steinrode and the supporting association Libellula e.V., an association for environmental education and forest education in schools, will begin at around 12 noon. Then it will be musical: harpist Bettina Kallausch will be a guest with her pupils Kira Müller, Tinka Hesse and Manuela Gantzer. The musicians will be playing traditional melodies from the old days and folk songs from 2 pm. The blacksmith has announced his arrival and will accept "apprentice blacksmiths" for an "apprenticeship fee". In the scriptorium, you can try your hand at writing with pen and ink. Games such as cone target throwing, ladder golf and balance fight are available as well as treasure hunts in the sandpit or feeling with hands (feel boxes) and feet (barefoot path). Dogs are welcome, please keep them on a lead. Please note: The consumption of food and drinks brought from home is not permitted on our grounds on Open Sundays. Beyond the open Sundays, it is possible to use or visit the medieval model village of Steinrode by prior booking.
