River and island camping
If you are travelling with a tent, caravan or motorhome, you have the choice between numerous motorhome and camping sites in and around Hann. Münden. Whether on idyllic river islands, right next to the old town of Hann. Münden, on picturesque river banks, with an outdoor swimming pool connection or in the middle of the greenery in the Münden Nature Park - the variety of offers allows for an individual holiday. Many campsites also offer wellness and adventure facilities.
The "Grüne Insel Tanzwerder" campsite is located close to the old town of Hann Münden on the island of Tanzwerder. The old town with over 700 half-timbered houses and a landing stage for boat trips on the Fulda and Weser are only a 5-minute walk away.
The campsites in Hemeln and Laubach/ Zella are also located on picturesque river banks. These campsites on the Weser and Werra offer the best conditions for water sports and cycling on idyllic river cycle paths.
Directly at the campsite in Dransfeld, there are an adventure pool and numerous sports and wellness facilities. The campsite on the edge of the forest lies at the foot of the Hohen Hagen, a mountain of volcanic origin, with the Gaußturm tower from which you can see as far as the Harz mountains. Around Dransfeld there are also numerous hiking trails along old mining paths, through pasture landscapes or to the Scheden springs. There is another campsite in the district of Löwenhagen, which is located directly on the Nieme and in picturesque natural surroundings. There is also a cosy forest swimming pool here.
In addition to tent pitches, all campsites naturally also offer camper van pitches.
A particularly unusual overnight location is the site on the island of Tanzwerder in Hann. Münden, which also has toilets and a supply and disposal station. Here visitors spend the night directly in the river triangle of the Werra, Fulda and Weser near the famous Weserstein and the historic old town. Alternative and free parking spaces are also available close to the historic old town of Hann. Münden.
