Hann. Münden

Town of half-timbered houses and three rivers

Alexander von Humbold is said to have spoken of one of the seven most beautifully situated towns in the world in connection with Hann. Münden. In the low mountain region of the Weserbergland, in the south of the federal state of Lower Saxony and in the middle of Germany, lies the half-timbered and three-river town of Hann. Münden. The town with its medieval town centre has a population of around 24,000 and is nestled between the three rivers Werra, Fulda and Weser and three enchanted forests, where the Brothers Grimm found inspiration for their fairy tales.

As a town on the German Fairytale Route and the German Half-Timbered House Route, a stay in Hann. Münden can be excellently combined with a visit to other towns. At the source of the Weser, in the southern Weserbergland, the Hann. Münden adventure region awaits you with a variety of sights, activities and delights.
