Shopping in the museum?
The Münden Old Town Citizens' Cooperative is enlivening Münden town center and the museum for the day with two stores. Solid household goods, antiques and furniture are to be sold in aid of the renovation of half-timbered houses in Münden that were thought to be dead. This includes the Grotefendhaus in Ziegelstraße. This is only possible with the help of volunteers and a great deal of enthusiasm, on the building sites or by accepting suitable donations, which are then sold on. The citizens' cooperative - which has won several awards and been featured in television reports - is showing a small part of its treasures and if you are interested and bring some money with you, they are yours.
Experience history together
The Sydekum local history and heritage association supports the archive and museum, and teaches history through lectures and excursions. Members of the association and our local historian Thomas Tölle offer important information on local and cultural history at our book table and book flea market. Take the opportunity to get into conversation.
Fancy a short break?
Coffee and cake and cool drinks (while stocks last!) are also available. Our small "Museumskaffee" is open for you
