AltDeutsch - second-hand store of the citizens' cooperative in Hann. Münden
A special treasure trove for lovers of beautiful things awaits you in the middle of Hann. Münden's pedestrian zone: the "AltDeutsch" second-hand store run by the Münden Old Town Citizens' Cooperative. The store opened at the beginning of 2023 and offers a large selection of special finds - from nostalgic to unusual.
The name "AltDeutsch" is reminiscent of a jewelry store that used to be located here. Although there are no longer any classic jewels in the range today, visitors can still discover numerous small and large treasures, including porcelain services, collectible cups, drinking glasses, table linen and historical pieces of furniture. All items are offered at attractive prices and invite visitors to browse and discover.
Most of the goods on offer are donations from committed citizens. Everything that is no longer needed at home is given a second chance here. The proceeds from the sale go directly to the work of the Münden Old Town Citizens' Cooperative, which is committed to the preservation and renovation of historic half-timbered houses in Hann. Much of this work is carried out with great voluntary commitment and using traditional materials.
At the beginning of 2024, the first floor of the store, which is run entirely by volunteers, was extensively renovated. Since then, the goods can be presented in an appealing ambience that invites you to browse in comfort.
Visit the AltDeutsch store in Münden's old town and support the preservation of the historic townscape with your purchase. On Saturdays in particular, you can also enjoy a short break with coffee and cake.
