Lippoldshausen is a district to the east of Hann. Münden and a popular destination for excursions.
A starting point for hikes
Lippoldshausen is a village with traditions and a lively club life. For excursions by bicycle, the village offers the ideal starting/finishing point. Lippoldshausen lies on the Werra, not far from where the Werra and Fulda join to form the Weser. The village has four well-signposted hiking trails of varying lengths, which are maintained by the local heritage and culture association. Maps can be purchased in the local inns. The European long-distance hiking trail E6/X5 passes through the village on its way from Turkey/Greece to Norway/Finland, which also serves as overnight accommodation for long-distance hikers.
Lippoldshausen is also particularly popular with short excursionists who simply want to have a good meal in the country inns, where the meat still comes from the local farm. Groups are also welcome here and there are special weekend offers for motorcyclists or other travel groups.
