On the first day, we meet at the castle in front of the entrance to the city library. After a short preliminary talk, we swarm out and look for a place in the city that inspires (or annoys!) us. We observe, take notes and sit down to write in the public library or on a park bench. We then meet briefly for the next meeting and swarm out again - with a new task in mind. We also experiment with how perception and description change when our inner attitude shifts.
The second part of the workshop takes place a week later at the VHS. We will discuss the texts and look at how atmosphere is created and how a seemingly simple description manages to convey feelings.
The course does not require any writing experience. Prerequisite: Sufficient mobility for walking in the old town.
