The Mündener Schachclub 1925 e.V. in cooperation with the children and youth office Hann. Münden and the Stadtjugendring Münden e.V. invites you to the New Year's Tournament 2026. The children's and youth chess tournament will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in the Geschwister-Scholl-Haus (Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Str. 4, 34346 Hann. Münden). It starts at 10 am.
Children and young people from the age of 8 who have a basic knowledge of chess can take part. The aim of the event is to offer young chess enthusiasts a fair and exciting competition and to promote the joy of strategic thinking. In addition to the sporting competition, the focus is also on the shared experience.
The participation fee is 5 euros and includes catering on site. Small prizes await the participants. Prior registration is required.
