Guided tour of the town: Traces left behind - Jewish life in Münden

In 4 days

Short facts

Memorial plaques on one wall or another, the stele behind the town hall with the names of people who were once at home in our town - sometimes we stop to read them, but most of the time we pass them by carelessly.

Who were these people who lived in our town as Jews and what fate befell them? How are their life stories connected to Münden?

On 01.02.26, we invite you to a guided tour during which we will visit places of remembrance, find "lost traces" and gain insights into the lives of our Jewish fellow citizens from the Middle Ages to the expulsion and extermination during the Third Reich. The route also takes us to the mikvah, the traditional Jewish immersion bath.
