Once again this year, we cordially invite you to the traditional spring clean-up campaign. We would like to thank you in advance for your active participation and support in the joint cleaning campaign in the city center and in the districts. The date on which we will remove the unsightly corners of Hann. Münden and free the public areas from the last traces of winter has been set for Saturday, April 5, 2025.
We address our appeal to all citizens, to the chairmen of local clubs and associations as well as to representatives of public and private institutions: Free your town or district from litter and carelessly discarded waste. Priority should be given to cleaning those areas that cannot be regularly cleaned by the municipal cleaning staff. Exceptions to this are the shore areas, which - as in previous years - will be cleaned on April 5 by the dedicated members of the Friends of Fishing Association. This regulation also applies to ecologically sensitive areas that serve as breeding grounds for birds.
As in previous years, the "Hann. Münden cleans itself up!" campaign is supported by the District of Göttingen, the THW local group Hann. Münden, the Friends of Fishing Association and numerous volunteers from local associations and initiatives. After completing the cleaning campaign, the members of the Friends of Fish Association invite all those involved to a small snack at the clubhouse in Speckstraße - a welcome opportunity to celebrate what has been achieved together and to exchange ideas.

This campaign is by no means intended to give the impression that cleaning up only once a year is enough. Rather, we would like to encourage everyone to make sure that they do not throw garbage into the environment on a daily basis and to carry out regular small-scale cleaning campaigns. In this way, together we can help to keep our city clean and liveable all year round.
Interested parties who would like to take part in the city clean-up can register now by calling 05541 / 75-344 or by sending an email to vandorssen@hann.muenden-marketing.de. The meeting point for the action in the city center is the Mühlenbrücke on the Tanzwerder parking lot, where we will gather at 09:00. We also ask the local mayors to note their respective pick-up actions by the THW as part of the registration.
