Once again this year, we cordially invite you to the traditional spring clean-up campaign. We would like to thank you in advance for your active participation and support in the joint cleaning campaign in the city center and in the districts. The date on which we will remove the unsightly corners of Hann. Münden and free the public areas from the last traces of winter is set for Saturday, March 14, 2026.
We are appealing to all citizens, the chairmen of local clubs and associations and representatives of public and private institutions: Free your town or district from garbage and carelessly discarded waste. Priority should be given to cleaning those areas that cannot be regularly cleaned by the municipal cleaning staff. Exceptions to this are the shore areas, which - as in previous years - will be cleaned on April 5 by the dedicated members of the Friends of Fishing Association. This regulation also applies to ecologically sensitive areas that serve as breeding grounds for birds.
As in previous years, the "Hann. Münden cleans up!" campaign is supported by the district of Göttingen, the THW local group Hann. Münden, the Verein der Fischfreunde and numerous volunteers from local associations and initiatives. At the end of the cleaning campaign, the members of the Friends of Fish Association invite everyone involved to a small snack at the clubhouse in Speckstraße - a welcome opportunity to celebrate what has been achieved together and to exchange ideas.

This campaign is in no way intended to give the impression that cleaning up only once a year is enough. Rather, we would like to encourage everyone to make sure that they do not throw garbage into the environment on a daily basis and to carry out regular small-scale cleaning campaigns. In this way, together we can help to keep our city clean and liveable all year round.
Anyone interested in taking part in the city clean-up can register now by calling 05541 / 75-344 or sending an e-mail to vandorssen@hann.muenden-marketing.de. The meeting point for the campaign in the city center is the Mühlenbrücke bridge in the Tanzwerder parking lot, where we will gather at 09:00. We also ask the local mayors to make a note of their respective pick-up actions by the THW as part of the registration.
