The second stage of the Weser Cycle Path takes you from Höxter through the picturesque Weser Uplands to Hameln. You cycle almost continuously directly along the river.

The town of Höxter combines picturesque half-timbered houses and medieval alleyways with a lively town center. A little further north, directly on the route, is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Corvey. Continuing along the Weser takes you to Holzminden, also known as the "town of scents and aromas" and to the Weser Renaissance castle of Bevern. From there, the route continues to Polle, where you can change sides of the Weser on the yaw rope ferry. Cinderella is at home here at Everstein Castle. Through Rühler Schweiz you reach Bodenwerder, the home of Baron von Münchhausen. The Weser cycle route takes you via Daspe to the small village of Grohnde. Here it is worth changing sides of the Weser with the yaw rope ferry to take a detour to the magnificent Hämelschenburg castle. It is then only a stone's throw to Emmerthal, from where the route leads via Tündern to Hameln. The historic old town boasts restored half-timbered and Weser Renaissance houses.
