Short facts

Opening ceremony of the "Shadow Grl" exhibition

From November 7 to 12, 2025, the Geschwister-Scholl-Haus in Hann. Münden is showing the exhibition "So what?" - the story of shadow grl, a hybrid exhibition of photographs and texts by John Watt and Stephen Lindenmayer.

In their works, the two artists shed light on the effects of society's indifferent reaction to the bleak situation of marginalized people. The exhibition takes up themes such as identity, visibility and acceptance and deals in particular with the confrontation with one's own gender identity in the second half of life - in a social environment that is often overwhelmed or rejects it.

Stephen Lindenmayer has lived in this country for many years, but grew up in close proximity to John Watt in the United States. When they reconnect in adulthood, they realize that they have both - independently of each other - taken similar paths to come to terms with their own gender identity.

All interested parties are cordially invited to the opening on November 7, 2025 at 6:00 pm. Visitors can expect an inspiring evening with delicious drinks and snacks as well as the opportunity to talk to Stephen Lindenmayer in person.
