Open Sunday in the medieval village of Steinrode

Today

Short facts

The medieval village of Steinrode is opening its doors to spontaneous visitors on Sunday, May 3. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. you can come on this day and learn all kinds of things and try them out for yourself, play games or simply enjoy the outdoors with coffee, cake and snacks from the barbecue. Admission costs 4 euros for people aged 18 and over, children and young people are free.

This time, the Münden Old Town Development Association is supporting us and invites you to try your hand at building your own brickwork or shaping clay bricks at the clay building site. The clay building site is open from 12 noon to 4 pm. Games can be borrowed free of charge from the church, where you can also write with pen and ink with the monk.

The blacksmith will be plying his trade and will also accept apprentices for an "apprenticeship fee". Our herb woman offers a workshop from 11.30 a.m. (participation: 5 euros): First a herbal tour, then mixing herbal salts.

Dogs are allowed to visit us, but please keep them on a lead. We would like to politely point out that the consumption of food and drinks brought along is not permitted on our open Sundays.
