Longing, Moods & Encounters
Mündener KunstNetz e. V. presents an exhibition by Sissi Karnehm-Wolf and Martina Spangenberg
Longing drives us forward. It shows us what we’re missing, what we yearn for, and what we hope for in our lives. Moods are the quiet and loud, the melancholic and hopeful nuances of life, captured in color and form. Encounters connect us. They bring people and animals, special moments, and new ideas together.
Under the title “Longing, Moods & Encounters,” artists Sissi Karnehm-Wolf and Martina Spangenberg present their very personal perspectives on these multifaceted themes. Featuring paintings and graphic works in various techniques, visitors can expect a diverse exhibition that brings together different artistic styles and forms of expression.
The exhibited works invite viewers to pause, take a closer look, and immerse themselves in the diverse visual worlds. They evoke memories, stimulate the imagination, and open up space for one’s own thoughts and feelings. After all, art can move us, raise questions, and open up new perspectives—sometimes a single glance is enough to strike a chord within us.
What does an image evoke in us? What longings, memories, or moods does it evoke? And how differently can we perceive the world? The works offer an opportunity to explore these questions and make deeply personal discoveries. Art doesn’t always need to be explained. Sometimes it’s enough to let yourself be moved and guided by your own perception.
Mündener KunstNetz e. V. is pleased to present two artists and their individual perspectives in this exhibition. Visitors are warmly invited to discover the diversity of the works, find inspiration, and engage in conversation with one another about what they’ve seen.
Experience art and engage in conversation
The exhibition opens on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at 11 a.m. with a champagne reception. On exhibition days, a cultural café will also invite visitors to linger, meet, and exchange ideas.
Mündener KunstNetz e. V., Sissi Karnehm-Wolf, and Martina Spangenberg look forward to welcoming many visitors and to inspiring encounters with art.
