Short facts

Wood, nature and heart connection - sculptures - wooden creatures and more... when wood begins to tell stories...

The artist Anjou Reuter will be presenting a special exhibition of sculptures made of wood and natural materials at the Künstlerhaus Hann. Münden from March 20, vernissage from 6 p.m., March 21 and 22 and March 28 and 29, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. respectively. His works are created in close dialog with nature and invite visitors to pause and rediscover the lively connection between man, nature and design.

The trained carpenter combines different life paths in his artistic work: Reichian body psychotherapy, furniture carpentry and nature-oriented garden design. A common thread runs through all of these areas - the desire to promote the free flow of vitality and connectedness.

Reuter's central inspiration is nature itself. In his decades of practice with nature-oriented gardening and permaculture, he has intensively experienced the basic principles of nature - abundance, diversity and an abundance without waste. This attitude is also reflected in his sculptures. He uses wood and other natural materials to create forms in which something essential often becomes visible: Structures, movements and shapes that seem already inherent in the material and are carefully uncovered by the artist.
Reuter's work is philosophically influenced by the idea of the holon - the idea that every system is simultaneously part of a larger whole and itself contains many parts. This view describes a culture of consciousness in which everything is interconnected: thoughts, feelings and actions have an effect on the whole and at the same time return to the individual.

In addition to his artistic work, Anjou Reuter has been committed to near-natural habitats and the promotion of biodiversity for many years. The reintroduction of native wild plants and the creation of diverse habitats for plants and animals is particularly important to him - an approach that is also visible in his art.

The exhibition at the Künstlerhaus Hann. Münden invites visitors to experience natural materials in a new depth and to discover the poetic power of wood.
