Hemelner Kirmes, July 10–13, 2026

From July 10 to 13, 2026, it’s fair time again in Hemeln! The colorful event poster, featuring a Ferris wheel, music, and a festive atmosphere, already gives visitors a clear idea of what to look forward to: four days full of tradition, camaraderie, music, and a varied program for the whole family.

The festivities kick off on Friday evening at 9:30 p.m. with a disco hosted by the Nightlife Partycrew. On Saturday, the festival royalty will be picked up starting at 6:00 p.m. This will be followed by a prayer service, the official opening of the fair with a proclamation, and, starting at 8:00 p.m., dancing with the Weserberglandmusikanten.

Sunday begins at 9:00 a.m. with the traditional health games in the village. At 2:30 p.m., the parade begins with the Red Stars and the Drum & Brass Band Kassel. Starting at 4:00 p.m., coffee and cake at the Dreschschuppen invite you to relax and linger before the children’s fair begins at 5:30 p.m. In the evening, The Bluebirds will set the mood for the fair dance starting at 8:00 p.m. The parade will also be awarded prizes.

On Monday, the festivities continue at 10:00 a.m. with a morning beer and the Eichsfeld3 Party Band. Starting at 8:00 p.m., the Hemeln Fair comes to a lively close with dancing and a closing celebration, also featuring the Eichsfeld3 Party Band.

The Hemeln Fair combines living tradition, village community, and musical entertainment into a festive weekend for locals, visitors, and families.
