Stop for refreshments at the Jagdhaus Heede.

The so-called "Knick" used to be an even more pronounced border installation with ditches dug and ramparts thrown up, presumably planted with prickly shrubs to prevent the crossing of this former border.

This path runs on the first section from the Jagdhaus Heede to "Heedes Quelle", shortly afterwards to the hut at the Düsteren Kellerbrunnen. Via a south-west-bound forest path, you pass a water pumping station of the Hann. Münden public utility company (Stadtwerke) - the town obtains part of its drinking water from its own forests. After a few hundred metres, the path turns right into another wide forest path. Before this later bends off to the east again, the so-called Hünenburg rises up in front of the hiker - probably a refuge castle, which was located on the hilltop and was only used in times of danger. There, the population and their livestock sought shelter inside the fortification. Along the route, the path runs parallel to strange terrain incisions for quite a while: The so-called "Knick" used to be an even more pronounced border fortification with ditches dug and ramparts thrown up, probably planted with prickly shrubs to prevent people from crossing this former border. To keep the border tight, the shrubs had to be regularly bent, i.e. broken off, so that they would grow back from below. After passing the Bronze Age burial mounds, the route leads back to the Jagdhaus Heede.
