Founded in 1955, the central exhibition for contemporary art takes place in Kassel every five years. For 100 days, artists from all over the world exhibit: Sculpture, performance or photography - from these and other fields there are numerous exhibits to discover. The documenta is always intended by its makers to mark a moment of reflection on the relationship between art and society. You may only be able to marvel at many an artistic experiment once.

Hann. Münden - Kassel in just 20 minutes

Take advantage of Hann. Münden's central location: well connected, you can reach Kassel quickly and comfortably by car or train. You can travel to Kassel by train every half hour. In just 20 minutes you can be in the centre at the main station - where you can already see the first foothills of the documenta. By car, you can drive the 25 km via the A7 motorway or the B3 trunk road.

The exhibition is open daily from 10 am to 8 pm. Tickets are available at the box office at the respective exhibition venue and online at documenta-fifteen.

The following groups of people receive a discount:

Pupils, students, trainees, recipients of basic social security benefits (e.g. ALG II or supplementary pension benefits), persons in the Federal Volunteer Service or FSJ, refugees and people in the asylum procedure as well as people with severe disabilities (from 50%) are entitled to reduced admission on presentation of appropriate official proof. People with severe disabilities who are dependent on an accompanying person may take this accompanying person into the exhibition free of charge.

Proof must be presented at the ticket control.
