Letzter Heller: Hiking and feasting

"Der letzte Heller" - Many people around Hann. Münden have certainly seen this inn lying by the side of the road on the main road. But do you also know where it got its name? In the course of our hike today, we will get to the bottom of this question.

We start at the car park directly opposite the inn. From there we walk through the idyllic Ilksbachtal valley to Lippoldshausen. The sight of the beautiful waterfall quickly makes you forget the constant climb. Along fields, meadows and through the village of Wiershausen we approach the highest point (277m) of today's route. On the way we are rewarded again and again with a wide view over the landscape. After about 9 kilometres we return to our starting point.

Following our hike, a delicious barbecue buffet awaits us in the inner courtyard of the "Letzter Heller" inn with delicacies from the smoker and ofyr grill.

Duration of the hike: approx. 9 km / approx. 2.5 hours walking time, plus breaks

Total ascent: approx. 190 hm

Trail conditions: loose ground (forest paths and trails), gravel and asphalt

• Condition for a 9 km hike and 190 m altitude difference
• Walking speed of at least 4 km/h

• This tour is not suitable for prams and/ or handcarts
• A dog may be leashed on the trail. Please ask when registering if the dog area is still available
